Openwork Cloche Hats – PA-115
A crochet pattern from Nancy Brown-Designer
August 2, 2017
If you are looking for an easy summer hat, this is the pattern for you. A small upturned brim gives this cloche a flirty, fashionable look. Adorn a solid color hat with a frivolous flower or make it fun with a multi-color yarn. This cloche is light-weight and very comfortable to wear. It is also packable, making it the perfect addition for any vacationer’s wardrobe.
Size: Adult woman – one size fits most.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Materials: “Everyday” (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Premier Yarns. Crochet hooks, U.S. sizes I and J.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.
Purchase The Pattern
This pattern can be purchased for $3.49 through PayPal, just click on the button below. Please note: The pattern PDF will be sent to your PayPal email address within 24 hours of receiving payment.
All of my patterns can be purchased on Etsy. The link below will take you to my StellarDreams Pattern Store.
You can find “Everyday” at Premier Yarns in the Deborah Norville Collection. This is a 100% anti-pilling acrylic yarn that is machine washable and dryable. There is a beautiful palette of solid colors and prints that are specially designed to coordinate. I love that the yarn comes in 4oz balls with approximately 203 yards per ball on the solid colors, 3.5oz balls with approximately 180 yards on the multi-colors.
A Nice Yarn Service
With yarn and craft supplies being a little hard to come by in this day and age, LoveCrochet.com provides a nice service by selling the pattern and the yarn all on one site. They do a really nice job of supporting their Indie (independent) Designers, of which I am one, and their customer service is excellent. If you would like to purchase the pattern and the yarn, or just check out a great crochet website, please click on the link below.
Thank You For Reading My Post
I hope I have inspired you to pick up your yarn and hook. Crochet just seems to be the perfect venue for accessories, and some of my favorite things to crochet are hats. Make your fashion statement with a crocheted hat or beret as they are never out of fashion, and oh so warm and cozy for the winter months. But, don’t forget the other seasons with light-weight berets and caps. You can view my other hat patterns by going to the main menu and clicking on My Patterns> Patterns for Women’s Wear> Accessories> Hats.
Please visit ImagineCrochet often for helpful hints and suggestions, tutorials to jumpstart your crochet imagination, inspiration and maybe a freebie or a discounted pattern once in a while.
Best crochet wishes,
