A crochet pattern for a Whirligig Tote Bag from Nancy Brown-Designer. A hexagonal shaped little carry-all.
How cool is this little Whirligig Tote Bag, just asking to be taken to the beach, shopping or just about anywhere you need a little tote bag. The front and back hexagons each measure approximately 12″ and a 2″ gusset is added. A picot edging and a crochet button adds interest to the top opening and a V-Stitch shoulder strap with a picot edging ties it all together.
Size: Approximately 28″ in circumference (or around) and 12″ in depth with a 25″ shoulder strap.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: Tatamy Worsted (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Kraemer Yarns. Note: the yarn used in the photographs has been discontinued. You can use almost any worsted weight yarn, and approximately 500 yards should complete this beautiful fashion statement.
Tools: U.S. size H crochet hook.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.
